Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Monday 20 February 2012
Worlds kept them apart. Destiny brought them together.
Aria has lived her whole life in the protected dome of Reverie. Her entire world confined to its spaces, she's never thought to dream of what lies beyond its door. So when her mother goes missing, Aria knows her chances of surviving in the outer wasteland long enough to find her are slim.

Then Aria meets Perry. He's searching for someone too. He's also wild - a savage - but might be her best hope at staying alive...

When I read the back of this book I immediately thought this would be a great read, my expectations instantly scored high and... luckily, this book really did live up!

The basic plot line for this book was refreshing and enjoyable. I loved the set up of the dystopian world. I mean, domes?! I must be honest and say I didn't like the start. I was confused and thought the writing style was a little strange at first but, I assure you, everything clears up very quickly and you settle into the writing style after a few pages!

The main characters, Aria and Perry (alternative chapters taken by each of their perspectivers) are both quite likeable. Aria is determined and more cautious while Perry is head-strong and courageous. It's turning out that I like the sort-of bad boy with a softer side to him stereotype! The romance between them develops perfectly. The sort of hate-to-love side to romance, my favourite because it usually holds some comical moments!

Overall, Under The Never Sky was a brilliant read with likeable characters, a refreshing storyline and a well-developed romance. I will definetly be looking out for this author again!

Happy Reading,
Rachel xoxo
