Justin Thyme Scavenger Hunt

Wednesday 31 August 2011
To celebrate the paperback release of JUSTIN THYME, the Tartan of Thyme Blog is running a competition with signed/doodled copies of both JUSTIN THYME and its forthcoming sequel THYME RUNNING OUT as the prize.

All readers have to do is visit the participating blogs, note down the letters and numbers on the Justin Thyme bookmarks (see photos), then rearrange the letters in numerical order. This spells a secret message (Justin’s description of himself). Visit the TOT blog to find links to all participating blogs, and to email your answer. The competition will close on September 7th, when a winner (picked at random from the correct entries) will be announced.

Rémy Brunel and The Ocean of Light by Sharon Gosling (Chapter #4 Review)

Sunday 14 August 2011
No-one performs on the circus trapeze like sixteen-year-old Rémy Brunel. But when the circus closes for the night, Rémy leads another life, as a cat burglar and jewel thief. Forced by the evil circus owner Gustave to attempt the theft of one of the world's most valuable diamonds, Rémy thinks it will be just another heist, but when she meets determined young detective Thaddeus Rec, her life changes forever. Will Thaddeus manage to rescue the jewel from Rémy’s nimble fingers? Or is it really Rémy that he needs to save?

Fiction Express | Previous Chapter Reviews: Chapter #1, Chapters #2 & #3

Chapter 3 ended with us in Scotland Yard, wondering if Thaddeus was going to punch Collins (who was supposed to be arresting him) and escape. Now, in this chapter, a new character suddenly comes in and knocks Collins out and him and Thaddeus escape. He's known simply as the Professor. Rémy and J are also in this chapter, they are checking out Lord Abernathy's house. I quite enjoyed this chapter, but beware, the end finishes in yet another cliffhanger where Rémy is caught by Thaddeus... | Chapter Rating: 4/5

PS: A review of Angel might be posted up today, so keep a look out!

In My Mailbox #4 and #5

Sunday 7 August 2011
IMM is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi over at The Story Siren where readers can share what books they received throughout the week.
Yet again, this is another catch-up post because of my holiday. I am showing you all the books I've recieved throughout the past two weeks.

Angel by L.A Weatherly
Jack Christie Adventures: Day of Vengeance by Johnny O'Brien (ARC)
Dead Beautiful by Yvonne Woon

There is a lovely little book and card shop where I was on holiday so, being the typical reader I am, I went inside to explore. When I saw Dead Beautiful, I knew I just had to have it, so obviously, I went and got my money. Then I saw Angel and thought, why not? You can't go into a book shop and expect only one book to catch your eye, can you? I also received an ARC copy of Day of Vengeance for a blog tour in September, so keep your eye out for a review!

What did you all get in your mailboxes?

Rémy Brunel and The Ocean of Light by Sharon Gosling (Reviews of Chapters #2 and #3)

Saturday 6 August 2011
Since I was on holiday when the second chapter of this ebook came out, I am going to put both reviews of chapters two and three (published last night) in the same post.
Fiction Express | Review of Rémy Ch #1

No-one performs on the circus trapeze like sixteen-year-old Rémy Brunel. But when the circus closes for the night, Rémy leads another life, as a cat burglar and jewel thief. Forced by the evil circus owner Gustave to attempt the theft of one of the world's most valuable diamonds, Rémy thinks it will be just another heist, but when she meets determined young detective Thaddeus Rec, her life changes forever. Will Thaddeus manage to rescue the jewel from Rémy’s nimble fingers? Or is it really Rémy that he needs to save?

Chapter #2 Review...
When the first chapter finished, we were left on a cliffhanger, one in which Rémy was facing being caught. Luckily she did manage to escape but don't be too disappointed, there is more mystery and action thrown into this chapter just to keep you on your toes! I also got a very, very, very small hint that there might be a bit of romance in this novel, anyone agree with me? Also, in this chapter, you find out a very big plot twist but, you've guessed it, you are still kept in the shadows. Teasing or what? | Chapter Rating: 5/5

Chapter #3 Review...
Woah, Chapter 3 is just...woah! I can't believe they accused Thaddeus! I would go into more detail about what I was just rambling about but if I did it would be a spoiler.
In this chapter Rémy has to escape, now she has to figure out what she's going to do, how will she get the real Ocean of Light?
Another character is introduced in this chapter too, a boy call J. He lets spill some very interesting and probably helpful information about, who Rémy thinks is the one in possesion of the diamond... | Chapter Rating: 5/5

My vote is cast and I can't wait for the next chapter to come out, some questions need to be answered!
