Follow Friday #8

Friday, 24 August 2012
Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee. Every week there are two featured blogs and a fun question to answer, so head on over to join in!

Qu: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you've read and loved?

My pick for this week's question is Milledgeville Misfit by T.L. Gray. It's not that I think it has a terrible cover or anything (it almost, in a way, goes with the story), it's just that it's a little dull, dreary and not at all eye-catching. However, it was an absolutely AMAZING book! So touching, emotional and... brilliant! At the moment; my favourite! You can find my full review of it HERE. :D

What about you? If you follow, thanks a billion! I promise to return the favour if you leave a link! ^.^

Happy Reading,
Rachel xoxo

  1. Yeah, that cover does look rather old...and dull...and dreary...and boring...
I would never guess that hidden inside was an amazing book!

  4. This book would be one I completely look over, in a shop! It's so dreary, and nothing stands out at all. :L

  6. I never liked this cover either. I also found it dreary and dull, but felt bad when I mentioned it in my review because T.L. told me she had designed it herself. Awkward!

But yep, brilliant story! :) xxx

  9. I like the font! But a trend I've been seeing on this week's answers is that a lot of the covers had commonly used fonts. Like, I use that font for school projects, so seeing it on a book cover is sorta weird...very amateur-feeling. That particular font's called "Matura MT Script Capitals" 8D (Vivi's nickname is "The Font Lady" XD)

Also...it's rather ironic that the author's last name is "Gray". O_O because the cover is very...uh...grey.

Thanks for dropping by Rachel, and happy Friday!

  10. Maybe a splash of color on the cover would have helped because the image itself is kind of cool.
